29M The edition of the annual awards ceremony hosted by the Czech Film and Television Academy, the Czech Lions, reflects the current situation, which is shaking the whole world, as the organizers and participants have expressed their support for Ukraine. The Czech and Film Television Academy canceled the traditional red carpet and party and instead donated 300,000 Czech crowns (about 12,000 euros) to help Ukraine. The event began with a Ukrainian diplomat Yvonne Perebinis Taking the microphone, thanked those watching for their support and called for a boycott of Russian cinema in the Czech Republic. Humanitarian fundraising for Ukraine continued throughout the evening and visitors were able to donate a total of 5.6 million Czech crowns (€ 216,722).
