What’s the difference between a dog trainer and a dog educator?

Dogs always give us a chance to improve.

What are the biggest risks or problems in your work?

If we talk about bites, for example, it is a risk related to error: if you put the dog in a position to physically attack you, he will attack you. I worked with dogs who wanted to kill me, yet I was able to enter into a relationship without any injuries. Of course this is a profession that you must feel, it is not for everyone, because it requires a lot of love for animals and a form of personal knowledge that, although it is always evolving, requires the necessary concentration to be able to perceive its signals. In addition, I am very dependent on the weather and I almost always work in the open field. How far can we go to raise awareness about the importance of this profession?

I must say that everything is evolving, especially in a method based on scientific research based on dog listening, such as neuroscience, an aspect that lacks training. I think there should be a change in volunteer work with dog professionals so that they can do more work on the dog and create continuity among the incoming and outgoing volunteers. However, the great goal that many companies are working on is to incorporate other aspects of dog care such as osteopathy, physiotherapy, naturopathy. All the existing realities that expand our human discovery and knowledge about this wonderful creature, as they are perfectly suited for dog lovers, who, in contrast to training, cultivate dog welfare which must go through interactive activities.
